Due to the huge success of our last concert in March with the great Brazilian pianist/vocalist Eliane Elias, we are once again sponsoring a concert with her quartet.
This will be held on Thursday Night, Sept 28th, 2006. There will be 2 shows: 8 PM and 10 PM
The concert will be at the Knitting Factory, We chose this venue because it can accomodate up to 300 seats.
The demand last time was so great that we were sold out of our two shows long before the concert.
Since our main goal is to further the careers of lesser known jazz artists, we will open each of the two shows with a performance by San Diego flautist Lori Bell and guitarist/vocalist Ron Satterfield. This is a brilliant duo, 2/3rds of the group known as Interplay, which also features a pianist. Lori and Ron will play some amazing jazz. While she solos he plays the guitar like a rhythm section, with bass lines and chords, plus brilliant vocalizations.
For those of you who are not familiar with The Knitting Factory, it is not known as a jazz club, though they
do feature jazz occasionally. What is important is that it is a nice venue, with excellent sound equipment, a real elevated stage, and good sightlines.

The admission prices are very reasonable: $30.00 per person, for each show.
There are also special VIP tickets in the first two rows, for $50.00 each.
You can buy tickets on line from TICKETWEB.COM. They add a service fee of $5.75 for the $30.00 seats and $6.75 for the $50.00 seats.
